Two Special Days In One

To celebrate Father's Day/my birthday, which happened to fall on the same day this year, we went to lunch with my parents and then headed to Rob and Lisa's for a cookout for dinner.  We had a wonderful day spending time with family and the cousins got to hang out, which is always a bonus!

Naturally the first thing Lorelai wanted to do was play dress-up.
Musn't forget to show off the shoes.
Back into street clothes for dinnertime.

Lisa was sweet enough to get me some flowers for my birthday ~ they lasted over a week!
She also got me this amazing cup, which couldn't be any more perfect for this Halloween enthusiast.
Finally, we had birthday cupcakes ~ complete with sprinkles.
The boys sure loved them, or at least they loved the icing.

Time for an after-dinner workout, otherwise known as playing outside.
Catch me if you can!
Can you believe I actually managed to get a good picture of all four kids?!

Pampering Pedicures

While we were in Savannah my mom and I took Lorelai and Ashlyn to get pedicures.  The ladies' that worked on them really went above and beyond to make the girls feel like the princesses that they are.

Decisions, decisions...Lorelai chose her current favorite color ~ purple.
Ashlyn chose red ~ a very grown-up choice.
Ready for some pampering.

Tickly feet.

Pretty toes with fancy decorations.

Ashlyn had the idea to combine both sets of feet into one.

Froggy Fun

As silly as this may seem, I adore the kids' shower curtain.  It has frogs and lily pads on it and in my humble opinion is absolutely adorable.   I took some "clowning around" shots of the kids while they were in the bathtub with their froggy friends and here's what I came up with.

Mommy & Me

A few months ago the Children's Museum hosted a "Mommy & Me" night.  I jumped at the chance to get Lorelai and I registered so I could spend a fun evening with my special girl.

We started downstairs in the water area.

Next, onto the Music Room.

She could have stayed in the farm area all night.
Kicking back in the cottage.
Jelly bean art.
Part of the evening consisted of the kids getting dressed up and having their pictures made with their moms.  Here's Lorelai's ensemble of choice.
Dental hygiene is so important!
Time for a little grocery shopping.

Doing what she does best ~ performing!  She chose to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."  She made sure to choose accessories that weren't green so she wouldn't be a floating head against the green screen.

Taking a bow.

Sassy & Silly

Our first night in Savannah we went out to eat at Tubby's.  The girls got dressed up ~ this was before they insisted on dressing alike at any given opportunity ~ and we headed out for some outdoor dining.

There was a band playing on the ground floor outside.  We ate in "the attic" and Lorelai immediately gravitated toward watching the band playing from the balcony.  This was the picture I snapped of her when she told me the lead singer smiled at her.
Rock -N-Roll!!
All sass!

Sweet smiles!
Silly, silly girls!
