Taking Off On the Trampoline

On Tuesday, Lorelai took Lollipop to gymnastics with her.  Before her class started we got permission to go onto the trampoline for a few quick jumps.

After class I got a picture of Lorelai, Lollipop, and Ms. Kristen, Lorelai's teacher.

Chefs Lorelai & Lollipop

As promised here is the first of several installments of Lollipop's adventures in the Jacob household.  First up:  Baking a cake.

As exident by many posts in the past, Lorelai loves to help out in the kitchen.  She couldn't wait to let Lollipop help us make this rainbow chip cake with blue icing and confetti sprinkles ~ yummy!
Lorelai's a whiz at cracking eggs.  She's never let one shell fall into the bowl.

The best part ~ licking the beaters!

Time to ice the cake.

Daddy got home just in time for the final pictures.
The finished product.  Great job, Lorelai and Lollipop!

Star Student, Lorelai!

Last week Lorelai was the Star Student in K-4.  She got to be the line leader, Grandmother and Pap went to St. Mary's to read a story to her class and brought cupcakes, and most importantly she brought home the class mascot, Lollipop.  We were supposed to take pictures of everything we did over the weekend while Lollipop was with us.  Unfortunately I misread the memo and thought we got him for the entire week so I had many more activities planned.  Luckily, after an e-mail to the teacher with a list of everything we had planned she sneaked Lollipop back home in her bookbag and we had a fun-filled week with the K-4 mascot!  Here's the weekend photo shoot.  More to come of the week's activities...

Lollipop walking a mile in Lorelai's boots.
Playing a few video games at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Lorelai, Lollipop, and the Main Mouse.
Two attempts at a family portrait while at Athas at Saturday night dinner.  This one would have been almost perfect except that Pap's eyes were closed and Miller wasn't looking.
This one was a little more candid but much more fun.
These last few were taken on Monday morning when I thought we had to return Lollipop that day.

Princess Ladybug Lollipop.  Lorelai is wearing wings, too, but you can't really tell from this angle.

My Little Glow Worms

Several months ago we tried out some glow paints for the first time.  They didn't glow quite like we had hoped, but it was fun to give them a try anyway.

Here are the "scientists" ready to get to work and mix up the chemicals in their lab.
Before we could even get started Miller managed to rip open a package of powder and spew its contents all over the pavement.  (Not exactly off to a stellar start.)
Mixing up the powder and water.
Time to shake things up.

Lorelai and Miller took turns fillling the molds with the different colored chalks.
After the liquids were poured into the molds they had to set and wait until nightfall.
Once the sun went down we headed outside to start drawing.

Lorelai's final work of art.

Quote For The Day

My New Fine China

My boss, Laura, knows my love of all things Halloween and had some wine glasses that fit into that theme perfectly.  She said her own children were frightened of these glasses so she kindly passed them on to me.

One day when Lorelai came home from school I told her I had a surprise for her.  I filled the glasses with blue Hawaiian Punch to make it look more like a spooky potion.  (How cool are those glasses?!)

Here was her reaction when I brought it out to her!
Enjoying her yummy potion in her creepy glass.
