Aaaargh!

Here are some pictures from the aforementioned Pirate Party.

It wasn't just the kids who enjoyed goofing around in the pirate hats.

It's Captain Hook!
 Those fabulous Jacob ladies.

 The beaming grandmothers.
 The proud parents.

It's a Pirate Party!

Back in the middle of July we had the combo b-day party for Lorelai and Miller.  It was a small family affair and we went with a pirate theme since it's something both of the kids really like.

We found this sign at the $ store and it's still hanging on the wall as I type this.  Who says you can celebrate all year?
Since we didn't do favor bags, I got some pirate-y accessories for Lorelai, Miller, Sierra, and Chase to enjoy.

Quite a haul.
The complete princess collection.  She also got all of the fairies.
The much-anticipated arrival of Draculaura.  She also got Frankie Stein.  This girl adores Monster High.
 The piece-de-resistance ~ Justin Bieber!!
Yay for "The Backyardigans" ~ the pirate edition!
This may sound crazy, but I never thought my kids looked very much alike until I saw this picture.
A close-up of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" cake.
Completely in heaven while everyone was singing "Happy Birthday."  This girl loves being the center of attention!
 Happy Birthday!!

PhotoBooth Fun

Last weekend my mom and I took Lorelai to Club Tabby to use a gift certificate that my mom had given her for her birthday.  As we were leaving the mall we walked by the PhotoBooth and my mom suggested we get our pictures made.

Sorry the lighting isn't great, but taking a photo of a photo is tricky.
 Just goofing around.
A sweet moment with my precious girl.

The Little Man Who Melts My Heart

While we were in Destin and the girls were having a blast in the pool, Miller decided it was time to come inside and relax for a while.  I took some pictures of his sweet smile and then let him do his own thing.

Playing by the Numbers

On July 21st we had a combo family party for the kids.  Both sets of grandparents, their aunt and uncle, and two cousins who all live locally came over to help us celebrate.  I'll have lots more pictures to share in upcoming posts, but for now I wanted to show off the super-cute shirts my Aunt Carol made for the occasion.

She insisted on getting this button at the $ store to indicate that she was the Birthday Girl.

His top half is ready for the party and his bottom half is ready for the pool.
Having fun in his new superhero dress-up.

Free Concert

While hosting a play date last week with Sierra and Chase, I was privileged enough to have a free concert performed in my own bedroom by Lorelai and Sierra.  How convenient, I didn't even have to walk!!  :)   The girls were dressed in jeans and vests (apparently that was their "rock star" attire) and they belted out songs into their light-up microphones.  Totally entertaining!
 Sassy Sierra.
Lorelai always sings at the top of her lungs ~ she's definitely been bitten by the acting/performing bug.
Precious picture ~ Dan has it as the screen saver on his iPad.  What a proud daddy!

Savannah Smiles

Here are some of the pictures that I took while we were in Savannah earlier in the summer.

Starting off with a big breakfast before a day of sightseeing.

Here we are enjoying lunch down on River Street.

A street vendor was selling balloon animals, but I apparently Lorelai and Ashlyn were so cute that they gave them balloon tricycles for free!  Lorelai's didn't hold up very well so she ended up making hers into a hat...

...and a flower.
She and Ashlyn were also given flowers made out of palms for free, even though the vendors were charging for those, too!

On the day that the girls got their pedicures, we went for a pedicab ride and stopped off for ice cream.

Looooooving this picture!  I took it during the pedicab ride while Lorelai was in Grandmother's lap and I was sitting next to them with Ashlyn in my lap.
